Role Overview
We’re looking for a driven Business Development Manager to lead merchant acquisition, build long-term relationships, and drive Qarrib’s expansion across key geographies. This is a field-first, execution-heavy role ideal for someone who thrives on targets, networks fast, and can open doors on day one.
Responsibilities
Identify, approach, and onboard baqalas and local merchants across assigned zones
Pitch Qarrib’s value proposition and ensure merchants complete full registration
Negotiate and close agreements, ensuring commission terms and promotional support are clear
Work closely with operations and onboarding teams to activate merchants quickly
Track performance, repeat orders, and merchant satisfaction post-signup
Identify local market dynamics and report on competitor activity
Represent Qarrib at events, merchant meets, and community activations
Collaborate with marketing on merchant campaigns and seasonal promotions
Requirements
3–6 years experience in sales, partnerships, or business development (FMCG, retail tech, or marketplaces ideal)
Fluent in English; Arabic or Urdu/Hindi is a plus
Strong local network in retail or last-mile sectors is a major advantage
Proven ability to hit targets and close deals independently
Comfortable with CRMs, spreadsheets, and basic data analysis
Self-motivated, field-driven, and highly resourceful
UAE driving license preferred
